Originally trained in New Zealand, Colin
Campbell quickly established himself as
a leader within the Lifestyle Amenity
Horticulture industry in Queensland.
Having received awards from almost every
horticultural industry association in
Queensland, Colin was awarded the Order
of Australia Medal for services to
horticulture and the horticultural media
on Australia Day, January 26th 2007.
He has also been a nominee for
Queenslander of the Year, Australian of
the Year and one of Queensland’s Greats.
Not many people can claim to have a
plant named after them, but there is an
hibiscus named 'Colin Campbell' in his
honour.
Colin Campbell is most well known for
his gardening media personality:

Sunday mornings 7-10am
• Television - Queensland presenter on
ABC ‘Gardening Australia’
• Print - Gardening Australia Magazine,
subTropical Gardening magazine
and the Courier Mail
• Guest Speaker – various gardening
