Born
in Brisbane, Paul undertook his horticultural
degree qualification at University
of Queensland Gatton Campus (formally
known as Gatton Agricultural College)
back in the '80s.
Paul has worked as a nurseryperson,
landscaper and interior plantscaper,
and has been involved in training,
garden judging and guest speaker roles.
He is well known for experimenting
with plants to see what works and
what does not in his gardens.
Paul has assisted in the research
and editing of over 19 books (gardening
and non-gardening titles) and many
gardening magazines (periodicals and
single titles). The website PLANT ID
(www.plant.id.au)
was created about 10 years ago to
assist gardeners to source
information, contact businesses and
find local products.
Periodically heard on radio 4BC in recent years as the stand-in for Colin Campbell, Paul now does a small Garden Tip for local 94.9 RiverFM each Saturday morning. He has also been seen as a guest 'garden guru' on Channel 9's EXTRA program.
As a qualified horticulturist, Paul
is frequently hired as a consultant to
assess the effectiveness and
client-value of landscape designs for
private gardens and commercial sites. To

As Editor of subTropical Gardening his aim is to bring the passion, the
interest and the knowledge behind
horticulture to the gardening public
who live in the subtropics, tropics
and warm climate areas of Australia
and beyond. |
